Wore this hat on two trips to the South Pacific and to Australia and here outside at home. It is comfortable in all kinds of weather and protects me from the sun, especially in Australia. The hat is a bit beat up and has some blood stains (from prospecting in Australia) but is still going strong. Now buying a 2nd one for going out in public. My original is graduating to protecting me in the vineyard.

This is by far the best hat I have ever owned. I’ve had it about 15 years and it still looks like new. It has been washed multiple times plus I lost it in the creek one time and it floated down stream about 50 yards before I caught up with it, it does run just slightly small. I have a size 7 1/4. I plan on buying a LTM8 in the future.I think I will try a size 7 3/8 next time

I hiked most of the mountains in Arizona and the Jordan River banks on Jordan with this or another Tilley hat. This one is light and breezy. It stays on when properly corded and reflects the sun well.. I packed and unpacked it when the security forces stopped me which was often and it always looked the same, just great i estimate. Thank you Tilley for the best of the best.

My years-old LTM6 has been to South Africa, Namibia, Brazil, Argentina, Patagonia, New Zealand, and all over the United States and Canada, and it still looks almost new! When we arrived recently at the beach for a month's stay, I discovered I had left it at home so ordered an LTM5 from a local marine store. I love them both. I did find, however, that the new one, while the same 7-⅝ as the older one, is a looser but still acceptable fit. Thanks, Tilley! I can't do without these hats!

I brought this hat with me on a trip to Egypt, and it was absolutely perfect. The strap kept it secure on the windy days in Abu Simbel and at Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple, and on the Felucca. The wide brim kept that hot desert sun off. It spent a lot of time shoved into my day back or my carry on luggage, and it would always come out looking like new.
While I prefer my LTM5 for style, the LTM6 is my new go-to hat to bring adventuring.DesignRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5ValueRated 4.0 on a scale of 1 to 5QualityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5FitRated 0.0 on a scale of minus 2 to 2
