Want a light weight, high quality hat that is a comfortable and can be worn in various weather conditions? The TWS1 Tilley hat met my requirements and added a few bonus options that weren't on my list (hidden pocket, tuckaway loop for cord, minimal to no exterior branding).

Tilley has a great lifetime warranty, and they back it up.
I have been wearing a Tilley Hat for close to 40 years.
This hat wears well and looks nice; it is very light.
The wind cord comes in handy sometimes, or when I am kayaking,
it is great it is there to keep the hat from flying away.
It folds down flat, and it is not too thick to
put in a carry bag when you're not wearing it.
You can always let it hang on your back with the
neck strap.
I like that you can adjust the brim and
can create three styles to wear it.
Three useful, functional styles, I think.
-Cowboy hat. Both sides are up.
-Australian. One side down.
-Full Sheild. Both sides are down for full sun protection or Heavy rain.
Speaking of rain...
If you wear this hat and rain gear, you will stay dry.
The water will flow right off the hat.
I love my Tilley!

It is the perfect hat. l wear mine all year long. In the summer, it is light and airy enough where you don't die in the heat. I paddle board and Kayak A LOT. Sometimes I dip it into the water and wear it wet to cool off. Dries quickly. Perfect hat. Lost it once off of the paddle board. Found it later floating down stream. The draw string is perfect and simple to use. Wish they put it on their other hats. I have this hat in grey, olive, and black. LOVE this hat.

Customer Service: zero. FAAAR too many back and forth emails. Yet their site says "we've streamlined our return process". Absolute nonsense. Took NINE WEEKS to get the correct outcome and another 2 weeks as it was sent from Canada instead of Australia......
The hat itself is GREAT!!!
