I bought one of these hats nearly 20 years ago and it had a hard life. Out in the sunshine for hours in the South Of France and in the rain of the rain of the Scottish Highlands. It spent a the rest of the time in the car boot as I was usually where the car was and so the hat was where I was should I need it.
After 20 years of sterling service a couple of holes so I contacted Tilley about the Lifetime Guarantee and within a week they had agreed a replacement, and shipped it so a new hat arrived in a week.
